The NP is a licensed registered professional nurse with graduate preparation (Masters or Doctorate) from an accredited NP program. Licensed independent practitioners who provide care in primary and/or specialty care settings. According to their practice specialty, these primary care providers deliver nursing care and medical services to individuals, families, and groups. Works with a collaborative physician as described in a Collaborative Practice Agreement. Requirements: Masters Degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) required Registered Nurse in State of Kansas required APRN license required for Kansas and/or Missouri depending on place of practice Must have an American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification. Certificate, License or Registration Certification as appropriate to the area of advanced or specialized practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or an equivalent body (e.g., American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation) or actively seeking certification. Certification must be successfully completed within one year of hire. :
