Land Surveyor Position in Manhattan, Kansas For Sale

The Driggs Design Group, PA is searching for a Land Surveyor to expand our existing surveying capabilities. This individual is expected to assist and provide surveying expertise on a wide variety of infrastructure related projects undertaken by the Driggs Design Group, PA. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and self-driven individual to acquire a leadership position in a rapidly growing company. The Driggs Design Group, PA has exceeded 70% growth per year since its establishment in xxxx. The preferred candidate would be Kansas licensed surveyor or have the ability to become licensed within a year. However, all candidates will be considered. Relocation to our Manhattan or Hays, Kansas office not necessarily required. Additional information pertaining to the position is as follows:
Job Description:
Complete all office and field operations for a variety of surveying projects including topographic surveys, boundary surveys and construction layout.
Prepare electronic base maps, exhibits and survey drawings as required
Knowledge and experience with subdivision platting
Experience conducting parcel and right of way research
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage daily client surveying needs
Require little supervision, must have strong communication and organizational skills
Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits as necessary
Prepare survey scopes and fee estimates for internal projects and other project pursuits
Manage client schedules and project budgets
Perform business development activities to continue company growth
Skills/Qualifications:
Proficient in Carlson software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Top Con Robotic Total Station and GPS Preferred.
Successful completion of the Kansas L.S.I.T Exam
Professional Land Surveying License desired, but not required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
